Recommendation: Never Too Small

Have you ever just scrolled through YouTube looking for a video or a channel to just click on, maybe to escape from reality or just for fun? Maybe you are looking for something to help disconnect from the world or to connect with something else within you. For me the discovery of this channel gave me both, a chance to relax and a place to be in awe of the talent and imagination of others.

Never Too Small offered a lesson on how to see space and to embrace it not for what the eye can see, but for what the imagination can do with it. It's a welcomed lesson in life, architecture and the world that pushed me to think about how I use my own space. Plus, it's strangely comforting to see how we can adapt not only as individuals, but as couples and families not in spite of the size of the space but because we can embrace its potential. It serves to show that small spaces don't necessarily mean confined or limited — it just means that you will have to find ways to make it yours so that it can fit your needs and hopefully, house your dreams.

With this content you get a chance to travel across the globe from the comfort of your couch, your bed or any place you like to watch videos from. You get to see how people in the Chamberi neighborhood in Madrid are able to get a mix of location, culture and magic that they hungered for. Or how a dashing couple has added storage and clever hacks to make their home in Tokyo meet all their needs (like the use of the back of the front door, I wouldn't have thought of it). Or maybe you like to explore the clever use of space down under as you explore an apartment in Melbourne. Or a personal favorite of mine, the wonderful Paris apartment made for music lovers that can hold your collection of records perfectly.

This is one of the few channels that I constantly check on for new content and I have even purchased their "Never Too Small: Reimagining Small Space Living" book (I am that hooked). I highly recommend all that they have to offer because they bring forth smart and well-curated ideas that are brilliantly showcased in the homes that appear on their videos. Plus, why shouldn't we pursue content that actually adds to our lives or at least offers inspiration and motivation for the present and maybe, the future.
