The Artist

Fujii Kaze is an uber-talented Japanese artist who has managed to let his voice reach beyond the borders of his country to connect with music lovers across the globe. But not only does he hit the mark with his music, giving it life and color with his voice. He has also become a fashion icon in his own right in my opinion. He pushes the envelope of what we expect a Japanese man to dress like and instead finds that the lack of rules and definitions fit him perfectly. His only label being, this is so Fujii Kaze, nothing more and nothing less, it fits his sound and his look like a match made in heaven.

The Style

His style is constantly changing and matching the energy and feel of his lyrics yet always feeling so personal, so his, from the moment you first catch a glimpse of him. He does not fall prey to the norms of the mundane, instead he finds that colors are meant to be explored and used. But this does not mean he overuses or underuses colors, it just means he has learned the right moments to use them. He is a chameleon — unique, evolving and always looking perfectly dapper and original. He understands how to use his 5'11'' (181 cm) frame and allows the clothes and hairstyles to feel intertwined and be completely part of him.

In all fairness, there is no specific label for his style, but it feels and looks so cool. He feels glamorous, edgy, rebellious yet warm, down to earth and inviting. This duality is so refreshing to find not only in his look, but also in his music. So let go of what you think you know and lose yourself in the world of Fujii Kaze.
